History PRINT

The Vancouver Canucks Booster Club was originally created in the 1950's to support the Vancouver Canucks of the Western Hockey League. When the Canucks joined the National Hockey League in 1970, the booster club was right there, supporting the team with fund raising, road trips and volunteer work.

Little is know about the booster club's early days, but what is known starts at the beginning. More detailed records (including photos) are available starting in 1988-89, when the new club was formed. Today, the club continues to make history and it is all dutifully recorded by the club historian (David Marchak).

In addition, to the historical story of the booster club, you may also be interested in the people who have run the club since 1988-89. We have also been acknowledging members who have been made outstanding contributions to the club since 1993-94.

If you want to see where the money comes from or where it goes, check out our Financial Statements for the past several years. We are also proud of our donations to charity and minor hockey.

Of course, we would appreciate your help in making the history that will be remembered down the road. Join us and volunteer.
